We're Golden Oldies and
we need a home together!
Tag: 37313 and 37314
Breed: Border Collie Cross
Gender: Males
Names: "Snappy" & "Tom"
Age: 12.5 years
Desexed: YES
Shelter Notes: Snappy and Tom were surrendered because their elderly owner went into a care facility. You will be amazed at Snappy and Tom's zest for life. They are older in age but they have the energy level of dogs half their age so they're pretty awesome! Both boys are highly intelligent and they just love to play ball. They are fine with other dogs of all sizes and they are happy as long as they are together. Snappy and Tom qualify for the shelter's Golden Oldies Program.

Blue Cross Animals Society of Victoria (Wonga Park, Vic.)

Breed: Border Collie
Gender: Male
Names: "Ash"
Age: 14 months
Desexed: YES
Shelter Notes: I am a young, energetic boy looking for his fur-ever home! I am super intelligent and I will make a loving and loyal companion. I will need a family who will give me plenty of exercise including long runs, dog obedience, dog parks and everything else in between! I absolutely love meeting other dogs, but sometimes my play style can be a little full on. Unfortunately I do have some mild issues with my hips, which may require medication in the future if they worsen. They donít stop me from having fun though! I am curious when it comes to cats, but with a sensible family I think I would be happy to be rehomed in a house with cats.

Save-A-Dog Shelter (Glen Iris, Vic.)

I'm a Golden Oldie!
Breed: Border Collie Cross
Gender: Male
Name: "Elmo"
Age: 10 years
Desexed: YES
Shelter Notes: Elmo was surrendered to the shelter because his past owner, an elderly gentleman, was no longer able to look after him. His owner adored him - and his vets were very fond of him too! Elmo loves people and would make a wonderful companion. He's quite an active dog who has a tremendous way of entertaining himself (and us!) with his unique ball-playing antics. Elmo is good in the house and housetrained. The main reason he's still at the shelter is that he's had a mast cell tumour removed in the past and although the chances are very much in favour of it not recurring, people are understandably concerned about entering into an adoption - even in the knowledge that the shelter  will provide treatment should it be required in the future. Elmo definitely doesn't like cats and has an edge with other dogs, but he'd make a very special companion for someone seeking a canine soulmate. The shelter  has a full social and veterinary history of Elmo.
